MY STORY
“I have been practising herbal medicine for more than thirty years and have had the good fortune to have practised in Zimbabwe, New Zealand, Wales and England. I started studying Ayurveda fifteen years ago and did an internship in India and Functional Medicine was added to my toolbox eight years ago. These three modalities work very well together and enable me to create individual treatment plans.
In Zimbabwe I had my own business growing herbs, making and selling herbal teas, tinctures and creams and created a course in herbal medicine. I also worked with Professor Gundidza at the University of Zimbabwe on the medicinal properties of indigenous herbs and their use in local clinics in order to provide treatment where orthodox drugs were no longer available.
Due to the political situation in Zimbabwe I moved to New Zealand and then to England where I have been a senior lecturer at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in both herbal medicine and Ayurveda and thoroughly enjoyed watching students transform into competent practitioners. I also teach annually at the Marlborough College Summer School. I am now moving into doing group programmes in order to help more people ”
